Inya Mitrovic, MA
Mitrovic Resolution Consulting, Founder & Principal
Inya is a creative, pro-active, and solution-orientated critical thinker with professional experience in both industry and non-profit. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of British Columbia and a Master’s degree in Conflict Analysis and Management from Royal Roads University.
Inya has successfully worked with 31 Indigenous communities across five proposed natural gas pipeline projects and has demonstrated strong and reliable skills in Indigenous relations and negotiations, supporting business and project advancement. Most recently, as an integral member of TransCanada PipeLines’ Indigenous Relations team, she successfully contributed to advancing project interests on the proposed Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) pipeline projects in northern British Columbia.
Inya’s experience, skills, and training in resolving complex issues and dealing with high-stake competing interests has taught her the need for strategic thinking, an awareness of optics, and lasting sustainable solutions.

In 2012, Inya partnered with the Canadian International Institute of Applied Negotiation (CIIAN) who sponsored and online-published her Master’s thesis, examining the adequacy and effectiveness of rights-holder engagement on the MacKenzie Gas Project in Canada’s Northwest Territories. Inya’s work was nominated for the Governor General’s Gold Medal for Outstanding Thesis.
